Robbery
Robbery may be charged as first-degree robbery or second-degree robbery. A first-degree robbery includes the robbery of a commercial vehicle, inhabited home or person who just used an ATM machine.
A second-degree robbery includes any robbery that does not rise to the level of a first-degree robbery. The maximum prison sentence for second-degree robbery is five years, whereas a first-degree robbery conviction can result in a maximum prison sentence of six or nine years.
An offender may receive enhanced penalties if they were carrying a firearm during the commission of the robbery.
Drug Crimes
DUI's
For many people charged with DUI or other major traffic crimes in the San Diego area, protecting their driving privileges is a critical priority. The first thing to recognize is that you must act promptly—within ten days after a DUI arrest and subsequent release—to schedule your DMV hearing and have any chance of avoiding an automatic license suspension or revocation.
At the Ronis & Ronis, we take the pressure off your back and handle the scheduling of your DMV hearing at no cost. This allows you to meet with us about engaging our services without the pressure imposed by the DMV deadline.
Domestic Violence
Juvenille Law
We represent young people and families in the full range of juvenile offenses, from shoplifting and underage DUI to more serious crimes that carry the risk of lengthy prison sentences — or certification to stand trial as an adult.
Those charged with juvenile crimes don’t have the same rights and due process protections that adults have, but juvenile offenders generally have more options for a positive outcome through diversion and alternative sentencing strategies.
Fraud
At Ronis & Ronis, our San Diego fraud lawyer knows that being accused of a fraud crime can be a stressful experience. We are committed to defending your rights and providing the strongest possible defense.
Our team will meticulously analyze the evidence, challenge any procedural errors, and question the credibility of the witnesses against you. We aim to dismantle the prosecution’s case piece by piece.
White Colar Crime
White collar cases are highly complex and should be handled by a qualified defense lawyer. The evidence in such cases often involve financial documents and intercepted communications demonstrating some type of alleged financial fraud.
The sooner a San Diego white collar crimes defense attorney can get involved in a white collar case, the better. If you have not already been charged with a criminal offense but believe you are the target of an investigation, contact our San Diego law office immediately. We may be able to help you avoid being charged with a crime.
